Moajaza Expeditions aims to do “our part” by dedicating ourselves to becoming zero waste. We implement sustainable practices such as utilizing reusable water bottles, glass and stainless-steel containers, reusable silverware, and non-toxic cleaning products into every facet of our company.
Moajaza Expeditions pride ourselves on being a plastic-free company and our use of our own personal water filtration and purification systems to eliminate the plastic-centric middleman. We also do our best to only shop with b-corp certified brands and purchase from companies that utilize sustainable clothing materials.

Moajaza Expeditions connect conservation, sustainability, and plant-forward offerings throughout our tours because we believe tourism should strive to give our clients the experiences they dream of, while making a positive difference to the health of the planet, animals, and local communities. We do not compromise – we give our all.

BOLSTERING COMMUNITIES
Moajaza Expeditions has taken the initiative to build our “pay it forward” efforts by supporting children in Marangu, Tanzania with school fees, clothing, and swimming lessons. We see this as a way to interconnect our goals of conservation and provide community support. This initiative holds a special place in our hearts and is a driving force for our conservations efforts considering one of our very own, Godfrey Mtui, hails from Marangu.
We pledge to donate 10% of all profit proceeds
directly toward our education fund for the children of Marangu.
Firstly, by supporting children in the village of Marangu with school fees, Moajaza is doing our best to ensure they have access to education. Education plays a crucial role in raising awareness about conservation and the importance of preserving the environment. Access to education not only aids in conservation, but simply allows each child the opportunity for self-discovery and growth. By assisting with the schooling costs, Moajaza hopes to empower future generations and provide them the ability to gain knowledge for years to come.

Providing clothing to the children in Marangu is a testament to our commitment to the overall well-being of every child we are fortunate enough to support. By addressing basic needs such as clothing, our hope is this provides them with the necessary resources to focus on their education and other passions they may have.
Additionally, by offering swimming lessons, Moajaza aims to promote water safety and environmental awareness. Tanzania is home to beautiful natural resources such as lakes and rivers, and learning to swim is not only a valuable life skill but also encourages a sense of connection and responsibility towards these aquatic environments.
