WATERFALL

Materuni Waterfall is a stunning natural attraction located in Tanzania, specifically in the village of Materuni near Moshi. It is nestled in the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro, making it a popular destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers

The waterfall is approximately 80 meters (262 feet) high and is fed directly from the glacier on top of Mount Kilimanjaro. It is surrounded by lush greenery, coffee plantations, and picturesque landscapes. 

How to get there:

To reach Materuni Waterfall, visitors usually embark on a guided hike through the village and coffee farms. The hike itself is a delightful experience, as it allows you to witness the local way of life and enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

Once you arrive at the waterfall, you can take a refreshing swim in the crystal-clear pool or simply relax and enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings. The mist created by the falling water adds to the magical atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for photography enthusiasts.

Apart from the waterfall, Materuni offers other attractions that you can explore, such as coffee tours where you can learn about the coffee-making process and even taste some freshly brewed coffee. You can also visit nearby hot springs or take part in cultural activities with the local Chagga tribe.
